iPhone and iPad Apps for Working the 12 Steps
Categories: Get Clean Blog
We have constant distractions in our palms every day with all the technology available to us. It’s much easier to log on to our favorite social media pages than do the work we need to do for our recovery. I was thinking about that last week as I stared at my GetClean Blox on my desk. I thought about how can I carry the Blox with me everywhere even when I don’t use a purse or bag? Well it’s easy, I can read the blogs online, I replied to myself… except, I write the blogs! So I figured there’s got to be an app for that. And sure enough, I searched the app store for 12 steps and found three great apps for a very reasonable price that can be carried in your iPhone or iPad anywhere.
Twelve Steps – AA Companion
The 12 steps AA companion app offers great tools for those in AA including a Big Book reader with bookmarks, sobriety calculators, notes, AA database, prayers, promises, and more. This app is $2.99 and it comes in iPad and iPhone versions and it is published by Dean Huff.
A Day at a Time
By Hazelden, this iPhone and iPad app will help you stay on task with your recovery with its tools that include daily thoughts, meditations, and prayers. It is AA approved and costs $4.99.
Twenty Four Hours a Day
Another great app from Hazelden based on the meditation book by the same name. You can download it for $4.99 for both your iPad and iPhone. Twenty Four Hours a Day has daily thoughts, random messages to inspire you, and meditations to help you throughout your day.
Working the steps got just a little easier nowadays with all these great apps that you can carry anywhere. If you have an android phone or tablet, these are also available in the android play store for you.
Are there other apps you have found helpful in practicing the steps?
