How to Lose Weight in 3 Easy Steps

Losing weight should never feel like an impossible task. It can be done by anyone with no exceptions. Hard work, motivation, and the correct mind-set can be all you need. Here are a few tips I always drill into my weight loss clients heads that never seem to fail.

  1. Log your food. You will be immediately surprised how much, or little, you eat on a daily basis. Count your calories, protein, fat, and carbohydrate intake. Also, write down what time of day you ate that given food item. Stay within your caloric needs (http://www.aspirefitnessandhealth.com/nutrition-101-part-1-the-basics/ ). Eating too little can be just a bad as eating too much. Think of your body as a car that you want the gas to be on empty each night. Fill it up in the morning, as needed throughout the day, and go to bed hungry.
  2. Exercise regularly and vigorously. When humans were evolving we weren’t sitting around a camp fire all day. We were out hunting, building, and refining the extraordinary physiology the body demonstrates today. Get off the sofa and do something active each and every day.
  3. Make it a lifestyle. Living a healthy life is not temporary. It doesn’t come during beach season or after New Year’s. It is and has to be your new life. Health isn’t just about looking good. It’s about trying your best to avoid illness, prevent disease, and live life to the fullest. You only live once, might a well enjoy it with health, movement, and vitality, not sitting on the couch and eating fast food.

Remember that there is no such thing as a diet. There is only one way to eat and that is to eat right. There is no alternative to lose weight, be healthy, and maintain it for life than to eat correctly and exerciseDiets and surgical procedures are just quick, often times temporary, fix. Eat right, exercise regularly, and make it a lifestyle.
