Grilling for Thinning
Categories: Get Thinner Blog
With summer time upon us and much of my spare time spent at the beach with family and friends, I thought it would be an ideal time to see if changing my eating habits would change the effect on my waist line and also help me get a little thinner.
Using the BBQ is an easy way to cook and also a great way of spending more time outside enjoying the weather. The whole family loves it too and always joins in the cooking.
So over the next few weeks I will be sharing some healthy recipes you can all enjoy and maybe lose a few pounds too.
Tuna Steaks with a Lime and Ginger Marinade:
2 pounds fresh tuna steaks
1/2 cup fresh lime juice
1 1/2 tablespoons sesame oil
1 1/2 teaspoon freshly grated ginger root
1 teaspoon sea salt
Dash Cayenne pepper
1 clove garlic, minced
Splash of rice vinegar
Add all the ingredients except the tuna steaks in a bowl. Mix well with a fork . Rub the sea salt on all sides of the tuna and then place the fresh tuna into a ziplock and add the Lime and Ginger marinade. Seal the bag and then shake the bag, make sure all parts of the tuna is well covered. Store in the fridge for 2 hours or longer if possible. ( I like to leave in all day) Grill on the BBQ for 8-10 minutes per side and then serve with a nice salad.
Sit back and enjoy with your family and friends.
